“Joe and I bought our new Grand Vitara from Suzuki last year to replace the vehicle that we pull behind our motorhome. We took our first trip with it behind the motorhome a few weeks ago. We left Utah for San Diego with our Grand Vitara in tow; we arrived at our destination of Silver Strand State Beach. We had a great time on the beach and the Grand Vitara was able to “play” in the sand a little too, but don’t tell the park rangers. After a week, it was time for us to pack up and go home; the motorhome made it as far as Las Vegas, where it decided to remain. This is where the bragging starts. The motorhome lost its transmission, we were able to limp to a camp ground, but it refused to move to our designated camp site. We attempted to get a tow truck, but were not successful. We were at a loss of what to do in trying to get the motorhome into our campsite so we could just go to bed. Joe had the bright idea that the Suzuki could just push the motorhome. I thought he was completely off his rocker; we are talking a very large 33′ long motor home and he thinks the little Suzuki can push it???Joe put the Suzuki into 4-wheel Low and left it on the tow bars, I climbed behind the wheel of the Suzuki while Joe got into the motorhome and steered. Our little “tow” vehicle pushed that big motor home all the way into the campground and into our campsite! Two days later when the tow truck finally arrived to tow us to the repair shop the tow truck was too big to get into the campground; to the sheer amazement of the tow truck driver, the Suzuki pushed the motor home back out of the campground and onto the road where it was finally loaded onto a semi truck flat bed.Our Grand Vitara may be small but he is mighty!
